PauseWalker — Privacy Policy

PauseWalker is developed by Grata Labs LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). We take your privacy seriously. This policy describes what data PauseWalker collects, how it is used, and your choices regarding that data.

1. Data We Collect

PauseWalker accesses the following data through Apple's HealthKit and device sensors:

Health & Fitness Data: Heart rate, active energy burned, distance walked, and workout session data.
Motion Data: Accelerometer data to detect when you stop or start walking (used for auto-pause).
Location Data: GPS location during outdoor walks to track your walking route.

2. How We Use Your Data

All data is used exclusively on your device to provide the app's core functionality:

Displaying live workout metrics (heart rate, calories, distance, elapsed time)
Detecting motion to automatically pause and resume your workout
Recording your walking route on a map
Saving completed workouts to Apple Health so they appear in the Apple Fitness app

3. Data Storage & Sharing

All data stays on your device. PauseWalker does not transmit any health, fitness, motion, or location data to external servers.
No analytics or tracking. We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
No accounts. PauseWalker does not require you to create an account or sign in.
Apple Health. Workout data is saved to Apple HealthKit on your device. Sharing of HealthKit data with other apps is controlled entirely by you through iOS/watchOS privacy settings.

4. Third-Party Access

We do not sell, share, or provide your data to any third parties. PauseWalker has no server-side component and does not communicate with any external services.

5. Your Choices

You can revoke HealthKit, Motion, or Location permissions at any time in your device's Settings.
You can delete any workout data through the Apple Health app.
You can uninstall PauseWalker at any time, which removes all app-specific data from your device.

6. Children's Privacy

PauseWalker is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date.
